Start/Finish Venue:
Brockholes Village Hall (Explorer 288 GR153 109). Nr. Huddersfield.
Start Time:
08.30 hrs. (before 10.30 a.m. if walking one loop).
Registration:
Open from 07.30 hrs.
Aim:
To walk as many different loops of the route as suits you.
(Loops are approx. 11 miles, 6 miles and 4 miles). (18k, 10k and 6k).
Refreshments:
Hot drinks and toast at start; hot drinks and selection of food at completion of each loop; cold drinks and snacks at checkpoint; light meal and drinks at finish.
Retirements:
Those participants who retire from the event must do so at a checkpoint. Marshals have the right to withdraw participants if their fitness is in doubt or if they are behind schedule.
A Certificate & Badge:
These will be issued to all who complete their walk (including IVV stamp).
Runners and are welcome.
Location of Hall:
Leave M62 by either Junction 23 or 24 and progress into Huddersfield. Leave Huddersfield on the A6024 signposted Holmfirth. Follow the Holmfirth road to Honley then take left fork at the traffic lights. Brockholes ½ mile on left.
This event does not fall within the scope of the AALR.
The fourth and final of the 2008 Quadrathon Event. Completion of all four of the annual Irregular walks will enable participants to purchase a superb commemorative badge. The events are the NEW HANGOVER (January), THE POSTMAN PAT CHALLENGE (August), THE BLACK BROOK (October) and the REGULAR IRREGULAR (December).

I agree to abide by the rules of the event and to observe the Country Code at all times. I have sufficient knowledge, experience, equipment and navigational skills to take part in a long distance challenge walk in all conditions. I confirm that I am in good health and have no medical condition that may cause undue concern or inconvenience to others. I confirm that I participate at my own risk and that no liability is accepted by the organisers for any injury, damage or loss sustained by me during the event. I will be over 18 years on the day of the event. I understand that particular rules may apply to entrants taking part in this event and I undertake to make myself aware of these rules before I start.
